  • Linnea White

    Owner/Artistic Director

    Linnea White is a highly experienced dance professional with a passion for teaching and judging. With a career spanning over a decade, Linnea has made significant contributions to the dance community through her expertise and dedication. She has a diverse range of experience in teaching, judging, performing, and choreography.

    As a judge, Linnea has lent her expertise to prestigious dance competitions such as Feedback Dance, Starcatchers, Entertain Us, and Xtreme Dance Champions. Her keen eye for talent and her ability to provide constructive feedback have made her a sought-after judge in the dance industry.

    In addition to her judging roles, Linnea is the proud owner of IMPACT Dance Complex, a competitive and recreational studio located in Guelph, Ontario. Under her guidance, IMPACT Dance Complex has become a thriving hub for dancers of all ages and skill levels.

    Linnea's stage and performing experience are equally impressive. She has graced the stage as a featured dancer in various events such as We Day, Wedding Performances, and the City of Guelph Fitness Initiative Launch. Linnea has also been a dancer and choreographer for the Wilfrid Laurier Competitive Dance Team, where she held the esteemed position of executive choreographer.

    Beyond her dance achievements, Linnea has pursued further certifications and education to enhance her skills as an instructor and adjudicator. She is a member of the Certified Professional Adjudicator Alliance and is certified as an Acro Dance Adjudicator by ADTA. Linnea has also completed courses and workshops in various dance disciplines, including Progressing Ballet Technique, Acrobatic Arts, and Alixa Flexibility.

    Linnea holds an Honors BA in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University, demonstrating her commitment to a well-rounded education and intellectual growth. Her academic background has undoubtedly contributed to her analytical and critical thinking skills, which she skillfully applies to her dance teaching and judging practices.

    Committed to continuous professional development, Linnea has attended numerous dance-related courses and workshops. Some of these include the Acrobatic Arts Aerial and Back Handspring Workshop, Acro Alliance Hand Balancing and Training Junior Dancers, Cirque Physique Anatomy of the Spine, Elite Dance Challenge Teacher Workshop, and the Toronto Dance Expo and Canadian Dance Expo.

    Linnea White's extensive teaching, judging, performing, and educational background positions her as a respected authority in the dance community. Her dedication to nurturing talent, her commitment to excellence, and her wealth of experience make her an invaluable asset to the dancers she mentors and the competitions she judges.

  • Lynda Yurkin

    Lynda Yurkin is a seasoned dance professional with a rich history in the dance community. With over two decades of experience. Her journey in the dance world began with a Dance Major at Etobicoke School of the Arts in 1985, followed by formal training in the Dance Teacher Training Program at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in 1991.

    Her expertise spans a wide range of dance styles, including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, acrobatics, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, pre-dance, and musical theatre.

    As a dance educator, Lynda has not only instructed various dance techniques but has also choreographed stunning routines for competitions, recitals, and special events. She has played a crucial role in preparing students for the Royal Academy of Dance examinations and has been actively involved in teaching teacher training programs.

    Education and certifications include the Royal Academy of Dance - RTS Teaching Diploma, Silver Swans Certified, and Full Certification in Jazz, Tap, and Acrobatics, as well as Associate Certification in Ballet from the Canadian Dance Teachers Association. Lynda is also a certified Progressing Ballet Technique instructor and holds membership in the Professional Adjudicators Alliance.

  • Malcom Messado

    Malcolm is a professional dancer from Toronto, Ontario, Canada’s top city for the Entertainment Industry. He is currently a Full Member of ACTRA and has worked for Artist such as En Vogue, Arianna Grande, Avril Lavigne, July Talk, Anastasia A, Classified, Electric Ave, Rebel Coast, Meaghen Smith, Thugli, Cascada, and Audio Playground as well as TV/Film projects for Disney’s Zombies, Disney Sneakerella, YTV, Lifetime, Much Music/ M3, CTV, Raptors, Rogers, Spotify, and TIFF. His choreography has been featured in shows like Really Big World by ANU Productions, fever after Dark, Choreographers ball, OIP's the ring, WOD Toronto, Two Worlds Apart Charity Showcase, Monsters of Hip-Hop, and The Bazaar and has been recognized by choreographers such as Michael Jackson immortal tour director Mike Cameron and Tre Armstrong.

    Malcolm has received many awards throughout his career. These awards includescholarships from studios and conventions like OIP Dance Centre and Monsters Of Hip Hop, as well as various dance battle victories from TUDS SxS 2013 and the Monsters Of Hip Hop Club Stylez battle. He was also awarded with an Industry Representation award, an award given to someone who represents Jade’s hip hop academy through the Toronto dance industry via dance battle, various jobs and auditioning for SYTYCD Canada.

    Malcolm currently resides in Toronto where he continues to grow and be inspired as a Dancer while at the same time aiming to inspire other dancers around him.

  • Grace Harwood

    Grace is a dedicated dancer who's thrilled to be an integral part of the IDC family. She discovered her passion for dance at the age of 9 and devoted the next decade to competitive dancing. Her journey has been enriched by training under various instructors and choreographers, honing her skills in a diverse range of styles, including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Acrobatics, and Hip-Hop.

    Throughout her dance career, Grace ventured into specialized styles within these genres, both at her home studio and through external classes in Toronto, where she trained at renowned studios like Underground Dance Complex and Millennium Dance Complex. It was during this training that Grace discovered her true calling in ballet. She delved deeper into ballet by mastering en pointe technique and progressing through the levels, even surpassing the Intermediate Advanced R.A.D standardized ballet exam.

    Upon graduating from her home studio, Grace pursued her passion for ballet by auditioning for Ballet Jorgens Summer IV Intensive in Toronto. There, she had the privilege of training at George Brown College alongside incredibly talented choreographers and teachers from the ballet company. This experience allowed her to fine-tune her technique, learn company repertoire, and fall even more in love with dance.

    Grace's lifelong aspiration of teaching dance and working with children has now become a reality. Her love for dancing and sharing it with others has been a constant in her life, and she continues to enhance her own dance skills. Grace is thrilled to bring her boundless love for dance to IDC!

  • Tammy Grieco

    Tammy is so excited to be part of the Impact Dance Complex family. Her love of dance began as she grew up doing tap and jazz in the GTA and that love only grew stronger. Tammy graduated from dancer to dance mom. For 20+ years Tammy has been an active part of her children’s dance careers and is thrilled to be able to share this experience with other dance parents old and new! Whether it’s bedazzling, hair spraying or Broadway trivia… Tammy is up for it, and looks forward to being able to share her experience and passion for the arts with IDC!
