Our team is made up of passionate, experienced dance educators committed to helping every dancer grow in confidence, technique and artistry. Our faculty brings extensive training, performance experience and specialized certifications through Acrobatic Arts, ADE, Alixa Flexibility, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and more. Together, we create a positive and supportive environment where every dancer feels encouraged, valued and inspired to reach their full potential.

Ms. Linnea
Studio Owner & Director

  • Linnea White is the Owner and Artistic Director of IMPACT Dance Complex. She is passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment where every dancer feels valued, challenged and inspired.

    Linnea is a Certified Professional Adjudicator with Canadian Dance Leadership and PAA, as well as a Certified Acro Dance Adjudicator with ADTA. Her extensive teaching credentials include certifications in ADE Acro and Jazz, Acrobatic Arts Preschool and Levels AA1, AA2 and AA3, Alixa Flexibility Levels AF1, AF2 and AF3, and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT).

    Under Linnea’s leadership, IMPACT has grown into a thriving community offering recreational and competitive programs for dancers of all ages and experience levels. She believes dance education should develop more than strong technique—it should build confidence, resilience, discipline and lifelong friendships.

    Linnea is incredibly proud of the welcoming community at IMPACT and loves helping each dancer discover their full potential, both inside the studio and beyond.

Ms. Sophia
Competitive & Studio Instructor

  • Ms Sophia Donsig is a dancer, dance educator and choreographer based here in Guelph, ON. She has been dancing competitively for 12 years and teaching for the past 3. She teaches a variety of dance styles but specializes in Acro, Hip Hop and Contemporary. Ms Sophia believes that the studio should always be a safe and encouraging environment for young dancers to develop technical foundations, build confidence, and adopt a growth mindset. 

    Outside of the studio, Sophia is pursuing a Bachelor of Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph. She is passionate about integrating her knowledge of human anatomy, biomechanics, and injury prevention into her teaching, creating lesson plans that support safe, effective, and sustainable dance training. Her goal is to help dancers develop strong technical foundations while promoting long-term health and longevity in their dance journeys.

    In addition to her studies, Sophia is an active dancer and choreographer with the Guelph Gryphons Dance Pak. She is committed to continually growing as both an artist and educator, and is proud to train in environments that challenge and inspire excellence, creativity, and innovation.

Ms. Avery
Competitive & Studio Instructor

  • Avery Heggie is an emerging artist based in Toronto. Born and raised in Aurora, Ontario, Avery discovered her passion for performing, teaching, and choreography at an early age. She is currently pursuing an Honours BA in English at the University of Guelph while continuing to perform, teach, and choreograph across Canada. Avery specializes in Contemporary and Tap, with strong foundations in Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Ballet, and Lyrical.


    Avery has been a member of the pre-professional tap company, The Rhythm Ensemble, led by Juliana Kelly, for nine years and has trained under numerous tap masters, most notably Heather Cornell and Dianne Walker. She also represented Team Canada at the IDO World Championships in Riesa, Germany, where she won a gold medal. Avery teaches rhythm tap, a style rooted in musicality, improvisation, and groove. She encourages her students to think like musicians by focusing on tone, timing, and phrasing.

     
    Additionally, Avery has studied with numerous contemporary artists across Canada and has received multiple Overall, Choreography, and Top Discipline awards for her contemporary work. Drawing on Graham technique, her teaching emphasizes grounded movement, contraction and release, expressive intent, and strong technical foundations while encouraging dancers to develop a deep connection between breath, movement, and their own unique artistic voice.


    As both a performer and choreographer, Avery has been featured in acclaimed professional productions and festivals including Dusk Dances, Fever After Dark: Summer Madness Vol. 2, Fever After Dark: Throwback, The Rhythm Ensemble: Explorations in Sound, and the Toronto Tap Dance Festival. Her work reflects a distinctive artistic voice that has been recognized through both professional performance opportunities and competitive success.

    As both a performer and choreographer, Avery is passionate about sharing her expertise with the next generation of dancers. Whether teaching in the classroom, creating new work, or performing on stage, she is dedicated to inspiring confidence, creativity, and each dancer's unique artistic voice while continuing to grow as an artist. Avery is committed to making a lasting impact through education, collaboration, and dedication to the art of dance. 

Ms.Emily
Studio Instructor

  • Miss Emily has been dancing since the age of 3 and has 10 years of competitive experience. She trains in a variety of styles but her favourites include ballet, tap and contemporary. Miss Emily is passionate about growing as a dancer and educator while sharing her love for dance with her students.

    Certified in both ADE Student Teacher and High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development, Miss Emily is equipped with a high level of knowledge and experience, to create a safe, positive and inclusive environment for every child. She believes that every dancer should feel encouraged, supported and confident in the studio. Her goal is to help students not only develop strong technique and foundations but also creativity, confidence and teamwork. 

    While teaching, Miss Emily strives to make every class fun, engaging and welcoming for children of all ages. She loves watching her students grow, build new skills and discover a life-long passion and love for dance. Miss Emily hopes to create a positive environment where every dancer feels excited to come to class each week. 

Ms. Liz
Competitive & Studio Instructor

  • Miss Liz Hofer is a dance educator, choreographer, adjudicator, and performer based in Southern Ontario. She has been teaching for seven years and specializes in Ballet and Musical Theatre. Her ballet training is rooted in the Vaganova Method, and she is passionate about applying its principles to prepare dancers for the technical and artistic demands of today's competitive dance environment.

    Miss Liz believes that every dancer deserves exceptional ballet training, regardless of their starting point. She is deeply invested in each student's growth, emphasizing technical precision, artistry, and musicality while helping dancers build a strong classical foundation and a genuine understanding of ballet. Her goal is not only to develop beautiful technique, but to help every student reach their individual potential.

    While pursuing her Ph.D. at McMaster University, Liz maintains an active professional performance career. She has appeared as the Lead Court Dancer in Aida with Southern Ontario Lyric Opera and is a Guest Artist and coryphée with Hamilton City Ballet, where her repertoire includes the Snow Soloist in The Nutcracker and the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland. She also performs and choreographs with Rhapsody Dance Project.

    As a choreographer, Liz creates works that showcase each dancer's individual strengths while building strong classical technique and artistry. Her choreography has been recognized by adjudicators for its creativity and for the technical quality and performance of her dancers. Beyond the studio, she shares her passion for dance with more than 80,000 followers through educational content exploring ballet technique, dance history, and performance.

Ms. Kiara
Office

  • Ms. Kiara is a dancer and experienced dance educator based in Guelph, Ontario. She has been dancing since the age of three, competed throughout her dance journey, performed under professional dance contracts, and taught dance for the past four years. Her extensive experience has given her a strong understanding of both the artistic and administrative sides of a dance studio.

    At the front desk, Ms. Kiara is committed to creating a welcoming, organized, and supportive environment for dancers and their families. She enjoys connecting with the studio community, assisting with day-to-day needs, and helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes.

    Outside of the studio, Kiara is studying Marketing Management at the University of Guelph and is a member of the Guelph Gryphons Dance Pak. She looks forward to using her dance expertise and enthusiasm to foster positive relationships and support the studio office.
